Life Groups
Deepening our life with God in community by building relationships through fellowship, prayer, encouragement, support, unconditional love, and experiencing everyday life together. This Fall we are using a discipleship resource called Rooted to help each person connected through our groups develop healthy rhythms in our relationship with Jesus and experience the transformation he brings.
Below are descriptions of each group available.
Hampton (FLC) - Married Couples
Meets weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30-8pm
Titus and Lisa Sapp
Marriage life group will be a place to fellowship with other couples as we dive into our purpose with God and the Church through life application. We are a couple who likes to keep it real, loves great conversations, meeting new couples, enjoys eating good food and having fun.
Married couples. Childcare available.
Hampton (Power Plant)
Meets weekly on Wednesdays from 6-8pm
Kasey Messer | Carmen and Keith Pittman (hosts)
Midweek group of adults fellowshipping and growing together. We’re 50 and up, but everyone is welcome!

Newport News (Port Warwick) - Women
Meets weekly on Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm
Melanie Johnson
Our vision for this group is women 18+ getting together to form community that is honest and transparent as we learn to discern the voice of God using the Rooted curriculum.
Childcare not available. Women 18 and up.
Norfolk (Ocean View)
Meets weekly on Thursdays from 6-8pm
Cheryl You
We believe keeping it real and that growing in authenticity and depth of relationships with each other is the key to growing in our faith. Join us on the Rooted journey together this Fall!

Hampton (FLC) - Youngish
Meets weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30-8pm
Bonnie Dale
We’re a community of “Youngish” adults aged 31-41 seeking to learn how to stay “Rooted” in this middle phase of life. How do we stay grounded in the midst of changing family dynamics, parenting, career, and ministry? You are not alone, come journey with us!
Ages 31-41. Childcare available.
Hampton (N King St)
Meets weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm
Don and Kathy Nichols
We have been following and learning about Jesus for almost 50 years and love interacting with people. We are looking forward to building community with others, using the Rooted curriculum to grow in friendship with God and each other.

Newport News (Denbigh)
Meets weekly on Sundays from 4-6pm
Ben and Shelley Godsey
We love opening our home for fellowship, shared meals, and Bible study so we can grow in our walk with Christ in community with other believers. As an Air Force family we have found meeting regularly in small groups to be a comfort through life’s big transitions. We have four kids, a dog, and food sensitivities in our house so we’ve learned to keep things pretty relaxed and flexible but love the opportunity to grow together with the body of Christ!
