Food for the Hungry is a Christian disaster relief and development organization working to end ALL forms of human poverty by going into the hard places and closely walking with the world’s most vulnerable people. In 2013, FLC adopted the village of Carmonial, and embarked upon a ten year partnership with FH in that village. Through child sponsorships, funds are raised to equip and empower families to identify their greatest development needs and then strategically work toward addressing and improving opportunities to live and thrive physically and spiritually. During the year we participate with FH by sponsoring kids and building relationships with them through letter writing. Every summer we take a team of about 20 people to Carmonial to visit with families, have a summer camp for kids and do some building projects alongside families and the local church.
